3rd Annual Love + Light Contemporary Art Show

stitching silk, abbie r powers, abbie powers, installation art made of silk, suspended art, moving art

Abbie R Powers stitching yards of hand dyed silk for her latest installation art piece at the 3rd Annual Love + Light Show.

The time has come…preparation for my installation art piece at the 3rd Annual Love + Light Contemporary Art Show has begun! I’m creating a silk dress that’s 26 feet x 16 feet and is suspended from the ceiling. Don’t let the sewing machine fool you, it will be entirely hand stitched (I didn’t like how it looked when I stitched it on the machine)!

And…there will be a stunning machine built by Mac Juneau attached to the dress making it move like a wave! You absolutely must come and see it (because I can’t describe it well enough on here….)

February 13-15, 6-9 pm at the Historic Loveland Feed and Grain right here in Loveland, Colorado
