Greetings and happy Tuesday! I hope this newsletter finds you well and healthy.
Things have been mighty busy here in the studio, even Bear the studio dog has been working hard (see photo at the bottom of the page).
Read on for some exciting things that are happening with silk, color and video!
of the morning mist : silk installation at the Artworks Loveland new North Gallery
This one is big. Not just a big opportunity, but a reaaaalllly big piece of silk, 744 square feet big. And I dyed it as one piece! Why is this show so big? It’s the first show that represents the entire body of work that I create as an artist. The show includes silk installation art, photographs of this piece and previous silk pieces, drawings of the silk pieces, photographs of the dress photo project (an offshoot of the silk installation art), video clips of art videos and of the moving silk installations, and hand dyed color tests which happen to be scarves!
Show Runs: Now until December 23
Reception with artist talk: December 4, 6:30-8:30 pm, talk at 7 pm
Night on the Town: December 11, 6-9 pm
Artworks Open Hours: M-F 1-4 pm
And, if you’d like a private tour of the show, send me an email and I’ll make that happen!
Now, for some fun photos of the process…
Whew…that was a lot! If this looks exciting/interesting/intriguing, come on by and see it for yourself!
